Eiffel Tower
No visit to Paris would be complete without meeting the capital’s magnificent Iron Lady. Dominating the skyline and easily visible from the hotel, she offers an absolutely magical view over the capital. Go up to the first or the third floor to admire the panorama or take the opportunity to stroll at her feet along the beautiful paths of the Champs de Mars.
For your convenience, the Hotel VLH Paris Montparnasse Eiffel team can help you to book your tickets, thereby saving you a long wait. Finally, from the Eiffel Tower, there are plenty of opportunities to take a walk to the Trocadéro on the other side of the Seine, to the Musée du Quai Branly Jacques Chirac a short stroll away, or perhaps to the Invalides.
Montparnasse
A gathering place for artists and intellectuals in the 1920s and 1930s, Montparnasse has managed to keep its vibrant social life and creativity intact. You will find both small artisanal crêperies and large brasseries in the purest Parisian tradition, intimate theatres and cinemas with a varied programme.
As for shopping, head to the Montparnasse Rive Gauche shopping centre or the Ateliers Gaîté, which has a food court that has already become a firm favourite with Parisians. Finally, be sure to climb to the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower to enjoy one of the most beautiful 360° views of Paris, including a stunning perspective on the Eiffel Tower!
Saint-Germain-des-Prés
A symbol of Parisian intellectual life, Saint-Germain-des-Prés preserves the memory of Juliette Gréco and Sartre, of the New Wave and Prévert, Giacometti and Vian. Today, this intellectual momentum is still sustained by a wealth of bookstores, art galleries, antique shops and art house cinemas. These sit harmoniously alongside the boutiques of the greatest fashion designers. Cafés and restaurants also play a crucial role, such as the unmissable Deux Magots and Café de Flore, once the favoured haunts of Hemingway, Brecht and Picasso.
Finally, the beautiful avenues lined with freestone buildings are also home to some architectural treasures such as the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, one of the oldest religious buildings in Paris.
